At 11:30 a.m., the cars and crews will congregate the “WorkSource Grays Harbor” parking lot, 511 W. Heron St. in Aberdeen. Cars will start leaving for the Blue Slough stages near Cosmopolis at noon.

Blue Slough Stages (Paved)

From Aberdeen and take US 101 south over the bridge to Cosmopolis, continue south six miles over the hills and turn left on highway 107.  You’ll go past the start of the stage, but there is NO PARKING at the start. Go 1.6 miles east on 107 and turn left on the dirt Weyco haul road (not signed).  This access road is parallel to and above the stage road, with some clear cut areas near mid stage.  Plan to arrive before noon for best viewing locations.  Cars will start this stage at 12:23 for the first run, and 1:16 for the second run, both runs will be from your left to your right. This paved road looks straight on the map, but it follows a crooked path, left, right, rising and falling. If you watch both runs on this stage you will NOT be able to reach the Pico stages before they start.

Pico Stages

From Aberdeen head east on US 12 toward Montesano and go right on the Devonshire Road exit. Left on Devonshire, left on Old Wa-410, at the stop sign go almost straight across toward Wynooche Lake.  In about one-half mile, make a right turn on Clearview Drive.  (If you reach Val Vista Road, you’ve gone too far!)  Carefully follow Clearview to the stage start, this road narrows in places because of recent mudslides.  When you reach the stage, follow the directions of spectator marshals.  No entry to this area will be allowed after 1 p.m.. Cars will start the stage at 1:59 p.m. and come downhill from your left and slide through a sharp left turn in front of you. The cars run this stage in the reverse direction starting at 3:22 p.m. Remember to dress warmly, pack your rain gear, food and water. There are no grandstands or concessions in the forest. Once you enter, you will not be able to leave this area until after 4 p.m.

Montesano Service

The rally cars make two half-hour services stops in Montesano during the afternoon. You’ll see crews making repairs on the cars, changing tires and refueling cars and drivers. Service will be held in the Vessey Construction lot, 22 Vessey Lane, off Country Farm Road, just south of the Devonshire Road intersection at US 12. This is a great time to meet the drivers and see the cars up close.
